Pen computing – as it was once called – is something I have always been interested in. From the GRiDpad on, I have tried out most of the systems. It wasn’t until i got my ASUS R1F running Vista and OneNote 2007did I really start to approach the experience I had been hoping for. There is still room for improvement in OneNote but there was even more room for improvement in TIP which is wht you end up using for those pesky mouse/keyboard interactions on all apps that are not designed for pen input.

Even a quick perusal of this post from the great Engineering Window 7 blog sheds insight on the deep commitment Microsoft has shown to the evolution of pen computing as well as the great improvements in TIP I have been enjoying since i mage the jump to Windows 7 on my R1F

Angus passes on some interesting information about twitter – but more interesting dissection  of LiveID delegated auth and DelAuth with LiveID. All of the developments in this area are making me slightly more hopeful that we will be able to use a majority of services with an identity and prifile provider of our choice (even ourselves) within the next 3 years.

Angus Logan reports from Web 2.0 Expo that JanRain’s RPX now supports Windows LiveID. Sites that use RPS can authenticate users with their account credentials from the following providers:

• Windows Live ID
• Facebook
• Google
• MySpace
• Yahoo
• OpenID

personally I think this is huge – I have to dig in a little more – but, I continue to like what I am seeing with RPX.

Khoi Vinh put me onto this today – i am a huge Alexander Girard fan so what could be cooler than the arrival of Alexander Girard fonts by House Industries. I am going to have to dip into the rainy day funds to make this purchase. I am just a little worried that I will get a little carried away with all this. Expect to see it used on the site here at some point in the future.

For the past couple of months I was testing out the blogging services at live.com, but they were just not for me.
