2010 Formula 1 Season Saved – Max Mosley to exit

Every F1 fan I know has been worried about the future of Grand Prix racing. The Bernie & Max show had gotten way out of hand. This season has been a flop (regulation changes that had little effect on budget or overtaking – including the failed KERS system)

Today, Max “KERS & Dungeons” Mosley has finally been faced down by FOTA and the fans. Happily, he will be stepping down in October. It is likely he will be relinquishing day to day control earlier than that. As always, James Allen has an excellent write up F1 breakaway threat forces peace deal «.

The questions now are:

  1. How badly has next season been damaged by all this wasted time
  2. How do we get rid of Bernie Ecclestone

TechCrunch has a good write up on The Current State Of OpenID

I particularly appreciate them clearly calling out the issue of many of the big operations signing on as providers but failing to become relying partners (RPs). I am very pleased to see Facebook stepping up, I believe Plaxo has also. Once the others fall in line, I really think OpenID will begin to deliver on its promise. I would even be happy if there was a clear process of independent providers to certified so that the big players will rely on them.

Need Restaurant Recommendations – Turin, Milan, Emilia Romagna, Genoa

OK social network, do your stuff. I am going to be traveling in Italy next week and need some restaurant recommendations for anything pretty much with a 3 hour drive of Turin. If you have anything else that is not to be missed, please pass it on.

La Bocca in Milan is an excellent restaurant that serves traditional Tuscan food. I have eaten there four times and can strongly recommend it.

Repaving my Asus R1F Tablet pc – Win 7 RC build 7100

Scott Hanselman calls it “paving” I think of it as “repaving” because this machine has been rebuilt so many times. This is a preliminary list – I will add more as I need more – but this is the bare minimum.
